Our Christmas.

Short version of our two weeks off from work and Christmas celebrations in Stavanger:

-Scott jumps on the sofa and bangs his head on our coffee table, visit to the A&E, no stitches but plaster to keep his wound together, it will be a scar.

-Anny gets ill, fascinating how much sick that can be inside a little body and end up on mummy’s expensive Persian rug.

-Mummy get sick, spends a lot of time on the toilet and have a fever Christmas eve.

-Daddy gets sick and spends most of Christmas day with his face down the toilet.

-Scott gets ill and we change a lot of nappies and he didn’t eat for a long time.

-Mormor decides Christmas is cancelled and that we shall have our turkey on the following Sunday when everyone feels better, and from then until Sunday mormor and Batt get ill as well.

-Lovely Christmas lunch on Sunday, everyone feels better.

-Scott plays with the cats and by accident pokes Anny in the eye with a stick.

-Anny goes to A&E and has a scratch on her eye and gets drops and cream to put in her eye, the next 24 hours she had pain and spent most of the time on the sofa keeping her eyes closed. We couldn’t even tempt her with ice cream, and that’s serious.

-Everyone is well and the last day of our holiday we bought a cabin, a fantastic place, worn down, but with great potential and a big plot of land, boathouse and a little quay. And about eight apple trees.

Life is sweet and we feel incredible crazy :o)

Autumn in Stavanger.

The last two weekends we have been enjoying nice autumn weather.
We have had the first nights of frost and we have to scrape our car-
windows in the mornings to get the ice of.
For a week now we have been burning wood in the fire in the evenings, and that is very cosy and warm.
The pictures this time is from the farm museum where Anny and Scott were very brave.
Anny held a tarantula and Scott tried to squeeze the life out of a poor centipede.
Last night we celebrated Guy Fawkes Night in Stavanger, together with a lot of British expats.
There was a big bonfire with a Guy Fawkes dummy on it and very nice fireworks.
I have to admit that it seems a bit brutal to cheer when the dummy is being burnt, and we had to explain it all to Anny, who was a bit worried. But she did love the fireworks…..

A normal day in the office?

I think I have been nagging everybody in my surroundings about the two advertising movies we’re making.
This is my first big job for Yellow Film, and I have never done anything like it before, so it has been very interesting to work by the learning by doing method.
Anyway, this weekend we finally got to shoot it and I can’t wait to see the results.
We were really struggling because of bad weather and changing light, but the actor who plays the main character is off to make a TV series so it had to be done this weekend.

Climbing a mountain.

One of the girls in Anny's nursery school just had her five year birthday, and she decided to celebrate it on top of a mountain. The mountain is called Dalsnuten and when you get on top, it has a beautiful view over Stavanger, Sandnes and Sola.
We had our doubts that Anny would manage the climb, but yet again she suprised us and got to the top like a little mountain goat.
